Description

ob Title: RN – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: 4002 24th St, Lubbock, TX 79410
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3×12-Hour Nights (Block Scheduling Available)

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent NICU experience required.
  • Epic charting experience required.
  • Must be competent in caring for neonates with complex medical conditions including prematurity, respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, sepsis, HIE, and post-surgical recovery (all subspecialties except cardiac).
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2–4.
  • Must be proficient in the following:
    • IV therapy, blood administration, and central line management.
    • Arterial, UAC, and UVC line management.
    • Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP).
    • High Frequency Ventilation, Nitric Oxide (iNO), and Bubble CPAP.
    • APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and developmental care.
    • Neonatal dosage calculations and administration of surfactants, vasopressors, steroids, and antibiotics.
    • Phototherapy, glucose monitoring, and care of hyperbilirubinemia.
    • Breastfeeding support, gavage feeding, and management of GI conditions (NEC, gastroschisis, omphalocele).
  • May float to Pediatrics, PICU, or Pediatric ED as needed.
  • First-time travelers accepted.

Education & Certifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
  • Active Compact RN License or Texas RN License required at time of submission.
  • AHA BLS and NRP Advanced required.
