Description

Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Level 1 Trauma Center

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our high-acuity surgical team at a Level 1 Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will possess robust experience in Vascular, Ortho, General, Neuro, and Urology surgical specialties and thrive in a fast-paced environment with complex, high-volume cases.

Unit & Case Mix

Our facility features 14 state-of-the-art ORs supporting a wide range of surgical specialties, excluding hearts and transplants.

Primary focus: Vascular, Ortho, General, Urology
Additional specialties: Robotic, Neuro, Trauma, Podiatry, Thoracic, Endo/Lap, and some Ophthalmology cases.
Equipment & procedures include:
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair (AAA)
- Carotid Endarterectomy (CEA)
- Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)
- Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft
- Dilation & Curettage (D&C)

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience
Travel experience: Previous travel assignment required
Certifications:
- Required: BLS
- Preferred: ACLS
Preferred Experience: Pediatrics and adolescent cases
Documentation: None required

Skills Required

General OR and trauma experience
Expertise in aseptic technique
