Title: Cath Lab Technologist / IR Lab Technologist
Location: Hagerstown, MD 21742
Duration: 20 Weeks
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 AM – 05:30 PM)
 

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and vascular procedures.
• Operate specialized imaging and monitoring equipment during Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology cases.
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready for each case.
• Monitor patient vitals, record hemodynamic data, and provide procedural support under physician supervision.
• Perform accurate EKG lead placement and assist with pacemaker, defibrillator, and device implantations.
• Support cardiac and vascular interventions, including angioplasty, stent placement, thrombectomy, and vascular access.
• Assist with electrophysiology studies, ablations, cardioversions, and device programming.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams such as radiology, respiratory, and pharmacy staff for safe patient care.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergencies, including STEMI coverage.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience.
• Strong, experienced Cath Lab Tech or RCIS.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT (R) or RCIS, and active state license.
• Community hospital experience.
• Experience with pacemaker procedures, rhythm interpretation, and sinus node rhythm monitoring.
