Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Location: Concord, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | 4x10s | 40 Hours/Week
Call Requirement: 2x per month + weekend call every 6th weekend

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical services team in Concord, Massachusetts. This role involves providing safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive OR experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout operative cases.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control protocols.
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and responses during surgery.
• Document all aspects of care accurately in the EMR system.
• Rotate through call shifts (2x/month) and weekend call every 6th weekend.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Active Massachusetts RN License – Required
• BLS (AHA) – Required
• 3–5 years of recent Operating Room experience – Required
• Multiple travel contracts – Preferred
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and sterile procedures
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
