Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Location: Concord, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Schedule: 5x8s | Day Shift | 40 Hours/Week
Call Requirement: 2x per month + weekend call every 6th weekend

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team in Concord, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will be an experienced perioperative professional with a strong clinical background, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You’ll be responsible for providing safe and effective care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures while supporting surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care during surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and vital signs throughout surgery.
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care in the EMR system.
• Participate in on-call rotation — 2x per month and every 6th weekend.
• Work collaboratively with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety and efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active Massachusetts RN License – Required
• BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience in any setting – Required
• Operating Room experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity environment
