CT Technologist (ARRT – CT)

Location: Rio Rancho, NM 87124
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Schedule: Full-Time | Day or Evening Shifts | 40 Hours per Week
Floating: Required between departments or local locations within 20 miles

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable CT Technologist (ARRT – CT) to join our imaging team in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of current CT experience, strong technical proficiency, and a commitment to patient safety and diagnostic accuracy.

This position involves performing high-quality computed tomography imaging in accordance with established clinical protocols while maintaining strict adherence to safety and radiation protection standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Verify exam appropriateness, prioritize urgent cases, and ensure timely patient throughput.
  • Operate CT scanners, inject contrast media, and monitor patient responses throughout procedures.
  • Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accuracy before submission to the radiologist.
  • Adhere to all radiation safety regulations and hospital infection control policies.
  • Float between assigned departments and local facilities (within 20 miles) as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR (experience preferred).
  • Communicate critical findings promptly to the radiology and care teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • ARRT Certification (Primary Radiology)
  • ARRT (CT) CredentialRequired
  • Active NM State LicenseRequired
  • BLS Certification (AHA, ARC, or ASHI) – Required
  • Minimum 2 years of current CT experienceRequired

Preferred:

  • Epic EMR experiencePreferred

Safety & Compliance:

  • Dosimeter badge required (e.g., OSL or TLD) for radiation exposure monitoring.
  • Agencies must ensure proper issuance, replacement, and quarterly evaluation of dosimeters.
  • Failure to maintain dose badge compliance may result in contract termination per safety regulations.
