CT Technologist – Day Shift

Location: Rockford, IL
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Shift Type: Days | 36 Hours per Week (Guaranteed)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our imaging team in Rockford, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging studies in a fast-paced hospital environment.

This position requires both clinical excellence and leadership capability — ensuring smooth departmental workflow, overseeing daily operations, and maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Operate CT scanners safely and effectively while ensuring optimal image quality and radiation safety.
• Oversee daily workflow in the CT Department, including task assignments and patient flow management.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely image interpretation.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and imaging procedures to support diagnostic accuracy.
• Maintain and calibrate CT equipment as needed to ensure consistent performance.
• Provide guidance and support to junior technologists and assist in training as required.
• Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• ARRT Certification with CT Credential – Required
• IEMA-DNS Radiography Accreditation (Illinois) – Required
• Minimum 5 years of CT experience – Required
• Supervisory or lead technologist experience – Preferred
• BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, CT imaging techniques, and emergency procedures
• Excellent communication, leadership, and multitasking skills
