Shift: Night | 3x12-Hour Shifts

Description:
Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality patient care by following individualized nursing care plans. The RN will supervise LPNs, CNAs, and orientees while ensuring all policies and procedures align with Select Medical’s Core Values — delivering superior quality, teamwork, results orientation, and a commitment to safety for patients and staff alike.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient and family teaching needs and coordinate education with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation of all patient assessments, interventions, and responses.
• Participate actively in rehabilitation programs and discharge planning from the day of admission.
• Communicate patient status changes promptly to the attending physician and Charge Nurse.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff effectively.
• Promote and maintain a safe environment through adherence to safety policies and proactive risk reporting.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned after orientation.
• Maintain professionalism in attendance, appearance, and conduct in line with hospital standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study.

Requirements:

• BLS certification – required
• ACLS certification – required
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience – highly desired
