Description

General Ultrasound Technologist – MFM Clinic

 

Shift: Days | 8:00–4:30
Schedule: 8:00–4:30 (with call)
Guaranteed Hours: Yes
Contract Length: 91 weeks
Bill Rate: $125/hr

Position Summary

The General Ultrasound Technician will work in a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinic setting (not hospital) and must demonstrate strong MFM/OB experience. The role performs high-quality diagnostic sonography exams under the direction of a Radiologist and in accordance with departmental protocols.

 

Required Qualifications

  • BLS (AHA or equivalent)
  • Graduate of an accredited AMA-recognized Ultrasound or Radiologic Technology program
  • One of the following required:
    • ARRT-registered Radiologic Technologist (with state radiography license)
    • RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) — strongly preferred
  • Strong Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinic skills (must-have)
  • Proficiency in general ultrasound modalities (abdomen, pelvic, OB/GYN, transvaginal)
  • Must be eligible to take call

No local candidates permitted.

 

Preferred Experience

  • OB/MFM experience beyond basic OB
  • Experience in clinic-based high-risk maternal screening environments
  • Comfort with performing biopsies and ultrasound-guided procedures

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic sonography for:
    • Abdominal
    • Pelvic / OB / GYN
    • Transvaginal
    • High-risk pregnancy (MFM)
  • Scan small parts, including:
    • Thyroid
    • Breast
    • Scrotum
  • Assist with and/or perform ultrasound-guided procedures:
    • Biopsies
    • Drainage
    • Thoracentesis
    • Paracentesis
    • Aspirations
  • Provide timely imaging for outpatient and (if needed) inpatient cases
  • Follow Radiologist instructions and clinic protocols
  • Ensure accurate documentation and image quality assurance

  • Day schedule with call rotation

Compliance / Submission Requirements

  • Updated resume reflecting strong MFM experience
  • BLS
  • Proof of ARRT and/or RDMS certification
  • State imaging licensure, if applicable
  • Non-local address (strict no locals rule)
