Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Step Down

Facility: MUSC Health Orangeburg, South Carolina

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) | Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Required Qualifications:

Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a Step Down or Telemetry unit.
- 2 years preferred, especially in community hospital settings.
Licensure: SC RN License or Compact License (must be in hand prior to start).
Certifications:
- Required: BLS, NIHSS
- Preferred: ACLS, CPI
Skills:
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line management
- Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Cardiac and respiratory care (CPAP/BIPAP, ventilator management, tracheostomy care)
- Experience with advanced nursing skills such as feeding tube care, hemodialysis management, and cardiac drips
- Experience in managing patients with CVA, TBI, and post-cardiac procedures
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, wound care, and orthopedic trauma management
