Description

Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics
Location: Plattsburgh, NY
Duration: 16 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3x12-Hour (19:00–07:30)

Job Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across the lifespan, including neonatal and pediatric populations.
Deliver respiratory treatments, manage ventilators, perform assessments, and support emergency and critical care needs.
Float as needed to support the Nursery and Emergency Room.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Work every other weekend and adjust schedule as required to meet unit needs.
Work 2 out of the 3 major holidays if they fall within the contract (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve/Day).
Complete orientation and ensure rapid compliance for assignment start.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2–3 years of Respiratory Therapy experience (at least 2 years required).
EPIC experience within the last 2 years (required, non-negotiable).
Experience with neonatal/pediatric populations (NRP certification required OR prior exposure).
Must be comfortable working independently and flexibly within multiple hospital areas.
Previous travel experience required (no first-time travelers).

Required Certifications & Licensure:

RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program
Active New York Respiratory Therapy License
