Position Summary This position provides integrated neurological, neurosurgical, and trauma critical care nursing using the full nursing process. The RN applies advanced clinical judgment and a broad nursing knowledge base to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a high-acuity environment. Key Responsibilities (25%) – Comprehensive Patient Assessment Conducts thorough assessments addressing physical, emotional, psychological, social, and family support needs. Identifies subtle changes in condition in complex neuro and trauma patients. (25%) – Care Coordination & Prioritization Organizes, coordinates, and prioritizes all aspects of patient care. Ensures care plans address both real and perceived patient needs. (25%) – Ongoing Evaluation & Clinical Judgment Continuously evaluates patient progress using clinical data, nursing knowledge, and critical thinking. Determines whether goals are being met based on the patient's care plan or clinical pathway and modifies plans accordingly. (25%) – Collaboration & Interdisciplinary Communication Collaborates and consults with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to plan and implement comprehensive patient care. Ensures seamless communication across care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
