Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a skilled nursing facility for a 13-week contract assignment. This role is ideal for an OT who is passionate about helping patients regain independence, improve functional abilities, and enhance their quality of life in a rehabilitative care setting. The therapist will work daytime hours and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary care team to deliver personalized therapy interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Assist patients in developing, improving, and maintaining daily living and work-related skills
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities tailored to patient needs
• Document progress, outcomes, and treatment adjustments accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and care staff to support patient goals
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and continued care
• Maintain compliance with professional standards, facility protocols, and state regulations

Requirements

• Active Texas Occupational Therapy license
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience (SNF experience preferred)
• Ability to work day shifts
• Not a bilingual-required role
• EMR experience preferred (system not specified)
• Up to 3 candidate submissions allowed per requisition
