Description

The Critical Care Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in a variety of critical care settings. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care. Responsibilities include monitoring, assessment, vital sign monitoring, ventilator management, medication administration, intravenous insertion and infusion, central line care, catheters, and maintenance of a running record of the patient’s status. The Critical Care RN must be prepared at all times to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other lifesaving measures for the patients in their care.

Start date: ASAP Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 if they float to NICU it could be 1:3 Years of experience REQ: 2 years of RECENT PICU or CVPICU experience First-timers accepted: Yes Weekend REQ: EOW – also opened to blocked scheduling for the weekend Certs REQ: BLS PALS Is on-call REQ? No Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes – between NICU PICU CVPICU Open to accommodating block schedule? Y/N Locals accepted: Yes Pending License accepted: Yes RTO Restrictions: 7 days max RTO – if 1 consecutive week must add week to end of contract to make up RTO Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours – no OT until after 48 hours Special Requirements: Must Have STRONG PICU experience and be comfortable floating to CVPICU NICU and PICU Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma if applicable: Magnet / Teaching and Level Trauma I Total Staffed Beds: 320 Scrub Color: Any
