L&D (Labor and Delivery) 2 years exp required

Required Certifications

Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS, NRP RN compact license covid card/exemption

7pm - 7am

Trauma Level: Not a trauma facility
Total Facility Size: 61 beds

Unit Setup

Total Rooms: 7 L&D/postpartum rooms
Nursery: Licensed for 11 bassinets
Maternity Beds: 9
Overflow: Additional adjacent rooms available as needed

Birth Risk Level

Nursery Level: Level I
High-Risk Births: Attempt to transfer to tertiary centers

RN Responsibilities

Antepartum/Postpartum Care: Required
C-sections:
- RN does not scrub or circulate
- RN only scrubs in to receive the neonate from the sterile field

Staffing

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Follows AWHONN staffing guidelines

Experience Needed

Labor & Delivery and Postpartum experience required
