Description

RN – Wound Care

Location: 336 Deerfield Rd, Boone, NC 28607-5008

Shift: Day • 5×8-hour shifts
Hours: 08:00 – 17:00

Schedule:
Weekdays; holidays within contract

Experience Required:

Minimum 2 years wound care experience
Travel experience preferred

Certifications Required:

BLS
WOCN Certification
BSN required

Documentation System:

Epic – recent experience/proficiency required

Required Skills & Competencies

Comprehensive wound assessment (size, depth, tissue characteristics, color, surrounding skin condition)
Selection and application of appropriate wound dressings
Knowledge of wound care modalities including debridement and wound irrigation
Patient/family education on wound care techniques and prevention
Precise documentation of assessments, treatments, progress, and patient responses
Pain management related to wound care, including appropriate analgesic use
Ostomy care expertise: assessment, appliance fitting, and patient education
Management of continence issues with appropriate assessment and interventions
