Title: CVOR Surgical Technologist (Certified Surgical Tech)
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 4x10-Hour (06:30–18:30)
 

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform scrub duties for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures, including CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacements, and other complex CVOR cases.
• Support general OR, trauma, thoracic, and vascular surgeries as assigned.
• Maintain aseptic technique and ensure proper equipment setup, handling, and documentation.
• Assist with cardiovascular/thoracic instrument reprocessing.
• Manage case carts, crash carts, and operate a wide range of surgical equipment and instruments.
• Follow universal protocols, isolation precautions, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgical teams in a Level I trauma environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years total CST experience (hard requirement).
• At least 2 years dedicated cardiac & vascular surgical experience.
• Minimum 1-year CVOR experience.
• Minimum 1 year in a Level I Trauma facility.
• Scrub experience required.
• Proficiency with cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular procedures.
• Competency with equipment such as electrosurgical units, drills, scopes, fiber optic devices, cell saver, and high-level disinfectant processes.
• Experience in general OR, hybrid OR, trauma cases, and emergency situations.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, radiation safety, sharps safety, specimen handling, and documentation.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• BLS (required).
• CST certification (required).
