Registered Nurse – ICU (Night Shift)

 

Location: Mission Viejo, CA
Start Date: 01/13/2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights, 3×12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours/week

 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse to join the Float Pool at a high-acuity, 488-bed acute care hospital. The RN will support critical care units and provide high-quality patient care with a consistent ICU-level workload. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive ICU-level nursing care with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Float within ICU pods and comparable units as assigned
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support critical care outcomes
  • Ensure accurate documentation in Epic and compliance with all hospital policies
  • Work every other weekend, with flexibility for additional weekend support if needed

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted California RN license (no pending licenses)
  • Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (first-time travelers accepted)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • All RTO must be disclosed at submission
  • Must be comfortable floating

  • Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off once per pay period
  • Scrub color: Royal Blue
  • No on-call required
  • Free parking available
  • Local radius: 50 miles (local rate applies)
  • Must be able to work at least 3 of the 5 major holidays
