Description

Ambulatory Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

We are seeking an experienced Ambulatory OR Registered Nurse to join a high-performing perioperative team. This role supports a 9-room Operating Room department and requires strong clinical expertise, the ability to adapt across surgical specialties, and a commitment to safe, patient-centered care.

Schedule & Shifts

  • Shift Options:
    • 3×12s: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
    • 4×10s: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Late shift: One late week every 4 weeks (to finish cases)
  • Weekends: No weekends
  • On-call: Not required
  • Block scheduling: Considered at manager’s discretion

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience; first-time travelers not accepted
  • Certifications:
    • NBSTSA
    • BLS
    • Radiation badge (must be provided by parent company)
  • Preferred Specialties: Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology
  • Floating: Possible within perioperative services, within RN scope
  • Locals Accepted: Yes – within 60 miles
  • RTO: Must be submitted with profile; approval based on facility needs
  • Guaranteed Hours: Facility may flex up to 10 hours per 2-week period
  • Additional Responsibilities: May be required to precept care team members

Special Notes

  • Hurricane Season Requirement:
    From June–November, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers uncomfortable with this should avoid accepting assignments during this period.
