Overview & Job Summary:

A facility in Massachusetts is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Long-Term Assignment (LTA) in our Level 2B Special Care Nursery (SCN). This is a critical night shift position (Order ID: MGB-24905) requiring commitment to 36 hours per week, including Every-Other-Weekend (EOW) coverage.

🏥 Unit Description (S-Birthplace - SCN)

The Level 2B - Special Care Nursery is a 25-bed unit that is part of the S-Birthplace complex. This unit encompasses:

• 5 Labor & Delivery (L&D) rooms
• 12 Postpartum (PP) rooms
• Newborn Nursery (NBN)
• 2 Operating Rooms (OR's) and Recovery Room (RR)
• 2 Antepartum/Newborn Unit (ANU) rooms with 4 beds

The unit cares for All patient populations, including mothers, babies, and labor patients. The Average Daily Census is 15-25 mother, baby, and labor patients.

🔑 Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience Required: 3+ years of clinical experience in a NICU/Special Care Nursery environment is required. (Minimum 2+ years NICU stated in JD)
• Skill Sets: Expertise in Special Care Nursery & Newborn Care.
• Certifications: Active BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications are mandatory.
• Charting System (EMR): Experience with EPIC is required.

💼 Role Expectations:

• Clinician-to-Patient Ratios:
  • L&D: 1:2-3 for Evals, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium gtt, or Epidural.
  • Postpartum: 1:3-4.
• Floating: Floating to other units is not required.
• Shift Rotation: This Nights shift (19:00 - 07:30) does not rotate.
