Description

Duties:

Floating between departments and or local locations within 20 miles is required.

Job Summary:
-OT will plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy.
-Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of function/occupation and developmental disorders.
-Oversees and ensures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patient.
-Promotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
-Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
-Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.
-Evaluate and Treat Acute Care Inpatient and Outpatient population (PRIMARILY OUTPATIENT).
 

Skills:

Required Skills & Experience:
-Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment.
-At least one thirteen 13 week previous travel assignment.
-Two (2) years current experience required in specialty.
-Must have experience in all areas HHC, OP, Acute.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
-EPIC experience; can train on-site.

Education:

Required Education:
-Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Preferred Education:
-Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
-NM state Occupational Therapist license.
-BLS certification required.
-BLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
-N/A
