Labor & Delivery RN | Night Shift | $55.18/hr | Newport, TN

Job Description:
A skilled and experienced Labor & Delivery RN is needed for a night shift assignment in Newport, Tennessee. This role requires strong clinical judgment, confidence in high-acuity maternal care, and the ability to respond quickly in fast-paced, specialized environments.

You will support patients through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery while collaborating with physicians, neonatal teams, anesthesia, and support staff. Candidates should be comfortable providing care to both laboring and postpartum patients while maintaining safe staffing standards.

This assignment is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a supportive care team setting and is confident managing emergencies and patient-centered obstetric care.

Schedule & Contract Details:

• Full-time travel assignment
• Night shift: 7:00PM – 7:00AM
• Call may be required
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start date: ASAP
• Block scheduling may be requested
• Must work either Christmas Eve or Christmas Night
• No 48-hr schedule option
• No floating required

Hourly Pay:
$55.18/hr

Patient & Unit Details:

• Laboring ratio: 1:1
• Postpartum ratio: 1:3 (mother/baby)
• Number of beds: 5
• EMR: Cerner
• Scrub color: Turquoise

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NRP certification
• STABLE certification
• Travel experience preferred
• Must reside 50+ miles from assignment location

Important Notes:

• Maximum approved time-off: 1 week
• RTO blackout: December 31
• Any approved time-off must be made up at the end of the contract
