Description

📍 Position: Pharmacist Level 1
⏰ Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
🧭 Experience: Minimum 2 years as a licensed Pharmacist (required)

Role Summary

The Pharmacist Level 1 supports patient care by:

Preparing and dispensing medications
Providing pharmacological information to the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Monitoring and evaluating patient drug therapies for safety and effectiveness

Required Skills & Responsibilities

Dispenses medications accurately and in a timely manner
Resolves questions regarding formulary and non-formulary medications following policies/procedures
Provides age- and kinetics-based dosing and therapeutic recommendations according to clinical literature
Performs patient education, including:
- Correct dosing and usage
- Medication timing and adherence
- Expected side effects
- Potential drug interactions
- Additional counseling per department standards

Additional Required Skills

Chemo preparation experience (CHEMO PREP)
Ability to float across multiple care areas:
- Critical Care
- Pediatrics
- Oncology
- Transplant
- Medicine
- Cardiac
