Description

📍 Position: Pharmacist Level 1
⏰ Shift: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
🧭 Experience: 0–2 years as a licensed Pharmacist

Role Summary

The Pharmacist Level 1 supports patient care by:

Preparing medications
Providing pharmacological information to the multidisciplinary care team
Monitoring patient drug therapies for safety and effectiveness

Required Skills & Responsibilities

Dispenses medications accurately and on time
Resolves questions on formulary and non-formulary medications following policies and procedures
Provides dosing and therapeutic recommendations, adjusting for patient age and pharmacokinetics based on literature
Performs patient education, including:
- Correct dose and administration
- Timing and adherence
- Possible side effects
- Drug–drug interactions
- Other counseling required by the department

Additional Required Skills

Chemo preparation experience (CHEMO PREP)
Ability to float to:
- Critical Care
- Pediatrics
- Oncology
- Transplant
- Medicine
- Cardiac units

Education

Required:

Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
