Description

Position: radiation Therapist
Location: 5 Richland Medical Park Dr Columbia, SC 29203
Duration: 01/05/2026 – 04/07/2026
Schedule: 40 hrs/week, 8 hrs/day, 5 days/week

Responsibilities:

Administer prescribed radiation treatments to patients safely and accurately using specialized equipment.

Prepare and position patients for therapy sessions, ensuring comfort and precise alignment based on treatment plans.

Monitor patients’ physical and emotional responses during treatment and report any adverse changes to oncologists or medical team.

Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation, including dose calculations and machine settings.

Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed to protect patients, themselves, and other healthcare personnel.

Requirements:

Years of experience REQ: 1
1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required
Weekend REQ: None; pending if position is M-F
Certs REQ: ARRT T, BLS, State licensed

Prisma Health Floating Policy for Contracted Staff Prisma Health’s goal is to keep staff in their home unit. However, it is a requirement for all assignments that agency staff, regardless of unit or facility, must float to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses per request due to census concerns. Staff will only be floating to units they are qualified for and performing tasks for which competencies have already been demonstrated and documented.
