Job Details

• Unit: D5 – CV PCU
• Ratios: 1:5 (Days/Nights/Weekends)
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes
• Float Requirement: Yes – may float to Cape Canaveral, Palm Bay, Viera
• Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 6 shifts/6-week schedule
• Orientation: 12 hours

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year PCU/Cardiac Tele
• Charting: EPIC (required)
• License: Active FL or Compact (required at submission)
• Certifications:
  • ACLS – Required
  • BLS – Required
  • NIHSS – Required
  • CPI – Preferred

Skills Required

• Cardiac Telemetry
• IV Therapy / Phlebotomy
• Central & Peripheral Line Care
• Cardiac Drips (titrate/no titrate)
• Vent Management (HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, Oxygen therapy)
• Chest Tubes
• Dysrhythmia Interpretation & Management
• Rapid Response / Code Team Use
• Wound Care
• Heparin & Vasoactive Drips

  • Chest Pain

• Support Services: Respiratory, PT, RT, Radiology, Pharmacists, Social Work, Phlebotomy, Transport

Additional Requirements

• Valid FL/Compact license at submission
• SSN & DOB required at submission
• Interview availability required
• Two recent supervisor references (within past 12 months)
• Flu vaccine required (10/31–3/31) – exemptions allowed
• Must complete labs within 72 hours of signing
• Must complete non-billable onboarding modules
