(1) L&D RN – 12-Hour Nights – UNC Health Pardee – Hendersonville, NC
Start Date: 12/22 or 1/12 (latest)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
GSA: Up to 36 hours per week (hours not guaranteed during orientation week or holidays when the unit is closed)
Cancellation Policy: Facility may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty
Primary Location: Pardee Hospital
Shift Requirements: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend Requirements: As needed
Float Requirements: Yes
On-Call Requirements: Potential for call
Required Certifications: NC License, BLS, NRP, STABLE
Preferred Certifications: PALS, ACLS
Minimum Experience:
• At least 5 years L&D experience with strong Triage background
• No new travelers — must have completed at least 1 travel assignment
Charting: EPIC required
Required Skill Set: L&D, Mom/Baby, Triage, GYN, Med-Surg, Pediatrics
Unit Information
Average Deliveries: 350 per year
Total Beds: 22
6 L&D
7 GYN
7 Pediatrics
Patient Ratio: 1:1 to 1:3
Typical daily patient mix:
2 Pediatric patients
1 Mom/Baby
1 Med-Surg
1 Induction
Triage manages their own walk-in patients
Pediatric Population
Age range: Newborn to adolescent
Common diagnoses: Fractures, appendectomies, RSV, pneumonia, asthma, fever, r/o sepsis, gastroenteritis
Usually short hospital stays
Compliance Due: 7 business days prior to start date
