Experience Requirements (Mandatory)

• Minimum 2 years of OB/L&D experience
• Experience in:
  • Postpartum
  • Pediatrics (PEDS)
• Able to work in Labor, Postpartum (PP), Nursery, and Pediatrics

Licensure Requirements

• Active Minnesota (MN) State RN License – Required
• License must be active at time of submission
• BSN: Not required

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA only) – Active
• ACLS (AHA only) – Active
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Active
• PALS: Preferred (not required)

EMR Requirement

• Epic experience required
  • If no Epic experience, submission must specify which other EMR systems have been used

Floating Requirements

• Must be willing to float to other units as needed, including:
  • Medical-Surgical
  • Telemetry
• Per union contract, travelers are first to float

Local Candidate Policy

• Local Rate Applies: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility
• Local rate reduction: –$8.00/hour

Required Clinical Competencies

• Care for:
  • Postpartum and stable antepartum patients
  • Newborns
  • Pediatric patients
  • GYN patients
  • Med-Surg overflow
  • May serve as 2nd RN in SCN
• Ability to manage variable census and assist with staffing needs related to onboarding, vacancies, and FMLA

• Responder 5 Call Light System
• Medfusion Pumps

Staffing Ratios

• 1:3 Mom/Baby couplets
• 1:5 GYN/Med-Surg
• 1:3–4 Pediatrics

Additional Requirements

• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
