Job Overview
A Physical Therapist Assistant is needed to provide rehabilitative support within an assisted living and retirement care environment. The PTA will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, resident-centered interventions that promote mobility, functional independence, and overall wellbeing. This role requires strong communication, consistent documentation, and the ability to collaborate across the care team.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans created by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, balance work, and functional mobility interventions.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress and changes in condition.
• Assist in educating residents and caregivers on mobility techniques and home programs.
• Work collaboratively with therapy, nursing, and interdisciplinary partners to support coordinated care.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation aligned with regulatory and facility standards.

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania PTA license (or eligibility prior to start).
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Experience in LTC, SNF, or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong organization, communication, and clinical skills.
