Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse - Wound Care Clinic (Day Shift) 

Location: Northern California 

Shift: Days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) 

Employment Type: Travel Contract

Job Summary 

We are seeking a specialized RN Case Manager for a Wound Care Clinic contract. This is a day-shift position perfect for a clinician looking for a consistent 5x8 schedule. You will act as a case manager for a cohort of patients, performing assessments, staging wounds, and collaborating with physicians on care plans including Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) therapy.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Licensure: Active California RN License required in hand at submission.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months of dedicated Wound Care experience required.
  • Minimum 1 year of general RN experience.
• Certifications:
  • AHA BLS required.
  • Wound Care Certification (WOCN, CWS, or WCC) is highly preferred.
• Education: BSN preferred.
• Vaccination: COVID-19 Vaccine required (Medical/Religious exemptions only).

Shift & Schedule Details

• Schedule: 5x8 Hour Shifts (08:00 – 16:30).
• Weekend Requirement: None listed (Clinic Hours).
• EMR: Epic experience preferred.

Key Clinical Skills Required

• Wound Management: Staging (I-IV), measuring, and photographing wounds.
• Debridement: Experience with Autolytic, Enzymatic, Mechanical, and Sharp debridement.
• Therapies: Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) and Vacuum Assisted Closure (Wound Vac).
• Ostomy Care: Management of colostomies, urostomies, and fistulas.
• Case Management: Coordinating care between home health, SNFs, and the clinic.

Important Notes

• Radius Rule: Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates.
• Floating: Candidates may float within the hospital based on facility needs.
