Pediatrics Office Nurse (RN) – Clinic Setting | New Hampshire (No Locals)

Hours: 8-hour days
Weekend Rotation: Saturdays 8a–12p

Position Overview

The Pediatrics Office Nurse provides outpatient pediatric care in a clinic setting, supporting patients from infancy through adolescence. This role is highly communication-focused, with phone triage making up approximately 80% of the daily workload. The RN collaborates with providers, supports LPNs and MAs, and ensures safe, accurate clinical care for patients and families.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct pediatric nursing care using the nursing process
• Conduct telephone triage and guide parents on symptom management, medications, and follow-up needs
• Collaborate with physicians and clinic staff to implement care plans
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
• Maintain accurate patient documentation
• Educate patients/families regarding diagnoses, care plans, and preventive health
• Support and mentor LPNs and MAs
• Ensure compliance with clinic and hospital policies
• Participate in ongoing professional development
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements

• Pediatric experience required (all age groups)
• Triage / telephone nursing experience required
• Clinic or medical office experience preferred
• Critical Access Hospital experience preferred
• Must be comfortable spending ~80% of shift on the phone
• Must have an active NH or Compact RN license (no pending licenses)

Certifications Required

• BLS (AHA)

Submission Requirements

• Work history with clear pediatrics & triage experience
• Clinic skills checklist (completed within past year)
• 1 supervisory reference (signed, from last 2 years)
• Active NH or Compact RN license (must be current)
• Current BLS
• All RTO must be submitted at the time of profile
