Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Med-Surg Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care during night shifts. This role is responsible for promoting and maintaining excellence in patient care through effective coordination and oversight of nursing services throughout the shift. The ideal candidate possesses strong clinical competence, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to deliver safe, compassionate, and age-appropriate care to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate patient care activities during assigned shifts.
• Deliver competent, evidence-based nursing care to Med-Surg patients.
• Assess patient needs, interpret clinical data, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system (CPSI/Evident).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and effective conflict resolution.
• Communicate clearly in both verbal and written English.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Active California RN license
• Nursing degree from an accredited school
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, ATT, CPI, ENPC, TNCC, AWHONN, NIHSS, STABLE, ASLS, NBSTSA, APHON, CMAC, CMAR, MAC-EFM (as listed)
• Minimum 1 year Med-Surg experience
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records preferred
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work professionally with patients, families, staff, and external agencies
• Basic computer skills required
