About the Role

MetroWest Medical Center in Natick, Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients in a behavioral health setting while expanding your professional expertise in a respected hospital environment.

Assignment Details

• Facility: MetroWest Medical Center – Natick, MA
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 07:00 – 19:30 (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours: Standard contract, 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric nursing care to patients with acute and chronic mental health conditions.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, coping strategies, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and best practices in behavioral health.

Minimum Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience in an acute care or behavioral health setting.
• Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to respond effectively in crisis situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Travel nursing experience in psychiatric or behavioral health units.
• Advanced certifications such as CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention).
• Adaptability to diverse patient populations and clinical environments.
