Position Details:
Emergency Department
Locals not accepted - local is considered perm residence within 50 miles of facility
Dysrhythmia exam required - study guide available in Simplify library
Minimum 2 years of experience required, 3+ preferred
Travel experience required - not taking first time travelers
Certs: Licenses: ACLS, PALS, CEN (Preferred), NIHSS
Shift: Mid-shift (10A - 10P, 11A - 11P, 1P - 1A). Every 3rd weekend required. Holiday rotation
Call: No on-call at this time
Unit Details:
Bed amount - 41 Bed Dept. Estimated 40,000+ visits per year.
Drips - Yes (Critical Care drips - Insulin, Sedation, Inotropic etc.)
Lines/Drains/ Specific devices used - IV,CVC, Foleys, Trachs, G-tubes, NG/OG, EJs. Ultrasound-IV trained would be preferred.
Machines - Ventilators, Philips Cardiac Monitoring, US, Stretchers, Portable Suctions, Bladder Scanner,
Oxygen - Yes - from Nasal Cannula to BiPap
Patient population - Overall Adult, 5% Pediatric visits, >1,100 EMS visits per month, Admit Rate approx. 30%.
Support staff (if applicable) - ED Techs, HUCs in department, RT not staffed 24/7 in ED but readily available to ED.
