Emergency Department RN – 12-Hour Nights (24-Week Contract) | Lahey Hospital & Medical Center – Burlington, MA
Facility: Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (BILH)
Trauma Level: Level I Trauma Center
Total Beds: ~335-bed academic medical center
ED Beds: 44-bed state-of-the-art Emergency Department
EMR: Epic
Shift: 12-hour nights
Schedule: Every other weekend + 2 holiday shifts required
Local Rule: Must be separated from any BILH facility for 6+ months (perm/per diem/travel)
Position Overview
Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 24-week assignment in its expansive, modern Level I Trauma Center. The ED provides high-acuity care for patients with traumatic injuries, critical illnesses, and emergent medical conditions, supported by advanced technology, collaborative care teams, and comprehensive on-site resources.
This position is ideal for a seasoned ED nurse ready to practice at the highest level within a nationally recognized academic medical center.
Required Experience
- 2+ years recent Emergency Department RN experience
- Level I trauma experience required
- Must have worked in a high-acuity, fast-paced ED
- EPIC experience required
- Must be comfortable with pediatric & adult emergency care
- Must be separated from BILH for at least 6 months
Certifications Required
- BLS – AHA
- ACLS – AHA
- PALS or ENPC
- TNCC
Shift & Scheduling
- 12-hour nights
- Every other weekend required
- Two holiday shifts required
- Excessive RTO will not be approved
- All RTO must be submitted at the time of application
