Description
General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Drip titration for those experienced with it, if not, will float to Medsurg/tele units
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
EPIC, PYXIS, Philips defibrillator, Philips Bedside Monitors
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
2 years of PCU or Med/Tele background
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
ACLS, BLS, IN or compact RN license
Shift or schedule requirements.
The employee would never work alone. Three weekend shifts out of a 4-week schedule.
Floating to other units/departments.
Floating is required, to like units when needed. PCU will float down to MedSurg when needed. If floated to MedSurg, will be kept 1:3.
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
12 beds
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.
3-4:1 on Prog and 4-5:1 on Medsurg
Dress Code:
Caribbean blue scrubs

Travelers will have to attend the Jumpstart program and EPIC training and then they will get 1-2 days on the unit
