Description

MS/Tele RN – 13-Week Travel Assignment

Unit: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Experience Required:

Minimum 1 year
First-time travelers welcome

Patient Population:

Cardiac and stroke patients

Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:

Days/Eves: 5:1 (may increase to 6–7)
Nights: 6–7:1 (may increase to 8–10 if short staffed)

Schedule & Requirements:

Every other weekend required
No on-call
Block scheduling may be considered but not guaranteed
Floating required within scope (MS, ICU, ED)

Support & Resources:

PCTs assist with vitals, blood sugars, EKGs, and ADLs
In-house phlebotomy for peripheral lab draws
RNs manage PICC lines and central lines

Skills Required:

Dysrhythmia interpretation & management
Rapid Response experience
Peripheral IV care
Oxygen delivery devices & non-invasive airway management
Isolation precautions
Experience with Hoyer lifts

Certifications:

BLS required

EMR: Epic (preferred)
Scrub Color: Navy & white (any combination)

Other Notes:

No local candidates within 75 miles
Pending licenses not accepted
RTO: No holidays, max 7 days total
