Travel RN Opportunity – Critical Care

Job Description

Critical care registered nurses provide care for patients with severe medical issues such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient conditions and implementing care plans
• Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
• Assisting physicians with procedures
• Monitoring and recording vital signs
• Managing ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment (including adjusting ventilators/IABP)
• Administering IV fluids and medications
• Suctioning
• Collaborating with the critical care team
• Responding to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols
• Acting as patient advocate
• Educating and supporting patient families
• Occasionally caring for pediatric/adolescent patients (no dedicated pediatric unit)
• May also perform case management, policy making, or administrative duties

Requirements

• Licensure: Wyoming RN license required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent ICU RN experience (critical care specialty)
• Certifications: Must have ACLS, BLS, and PALS/ENPC & TNCC (preferred but not required), all through the American Heart Association
• Ability to care for pediatric/adolescent patients occasionally
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
