MIXED ACUITY UNIT- MUST BE COMFORTABLE FROM ICU TO some PCU ratios. *
AA Ratios 1:3-4 - very rare
ICU Ratios 1:2
CVICU - biggest patient population is CV surgery and Thoracic surgery patients, including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS. Additional patient populations include flex acuity of Med/Surg, Progressive, and ICU of cardiovascular and oncology patients.
Years of experience REQ: 1.5 years
First timers accepted: Yes
Certfications: ACLS, BLS
Special Requirements: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post cardiac surgery (directly or indirectly from OR), CABG, transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation/replacement (TAVI/TAVR); Arterial line management, blood production administration, central line care/management, PICC line management; titrate cardiac drips, titrate vasoactive drips. Preferred - Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Sheath Removal, Ventricular Assist devices (LVAD/RVAD/Impella); Care of ventilated patients, ventilator management. Previous charge experience is preferred.

Special Procedures/Unit Details: CVICU – largest patient population is CV surgery and Thoracic surgery, including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS. Additional patient populations include flex acuity of MedSurg, Progressive and ICU of cardiovascular and oncology patients
