Job Overview
A critical access hospital in Rifle, Colorado is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for an ER RN who is adaptable, clinically confident, and comfortable managing a wide range of acuity levels in a smaller, high-autonomy hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients across all acuity levels
• Perform rapid assessments and initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
• Assist with trauma stabilization and emergency procedures
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to emergency department protocols

Requirements

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
• Recent Emergency Room experience required
• BLS certification required
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC may be required
• Ability to work independently in a critical access ER environment
• Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
