Job Overview
A critical access hospital in Clarinda, Iowa is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a 12-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for a Med Surg RN who is comfortable working night shifts and providing broad, hands-on patient care across varying acuity levels in a rural hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Educate patients and families as appropriate

Requirements

• Active RN license in Iowa or compact state (if applicable)
• Recent Medical Surgical experience required
• BLS certification required (additional certifications may be required)
• Ability to work independently in a critical access hospital environment
• Strong clinical judgment and time-management skills
