Job Overview
A long-term care / skilled nursing community in Fort Wayne, Indiana is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for an LPN who prefers evening shifts and is flexible to provide occasional night coverage as needed in a resident-focused care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor resident conditions and promptly report changes
- Assist with activities of daily living and coordinate care with CNAs
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary care teams
- Ensure resident safety and compliance with facility policies
Requirements
- Active LPN license in Indiana or compact state (if applicable)
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work evening shifts with flexibility for nights
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
