Description

Job Overview
An outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Oxon Hill, Maryland is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for a PTA who prefers evening shifts and enjoys working in a fast-paced outpatient environment focused on functional recovery and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Assist Physical Therapists with implementation of patient treatment plans
Provide therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional training
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
Educate patients on exercises, body mechanics, and injury prevention
Complete accurate and timely documentation
Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered treatment environment

Requirements

Active Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant license
Outpatient experience preferred
Strong communication and patient-care skills
Ability to manage a full outpatient caseload efficiently
Strong documentation and time-management skills
