🔬 Job Details

Job Title: Medical Lab Scientist (MLS)
Facility: MedStar Harbor Hospital
Department/Unit: 40105-25301 MLS
Location: 3001 S Hanover St, Baltimore, MD 21225
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 01/27/2026
Shift: Nights | 5x8s
Shift Hours: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: Every other weekend required
First-Time Travelers: Accepted

🧾 Job Responsibilities

Perform testing in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, and Urinalysis
Conduct ABO/Rh typing, antibody screens, crossmatching, and transfusion reaction workups
Operate Siemens Atellica chemistry analyzer and Eflexis blood bank analyzer
Perform QC review, specimen processing, and result reporting
Handle PCR testing, immunoassays, microbiology rapid tests, and serology
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and QA protocols
Accurately document results in the hospital laboratory system

✅ Requirements

ASCP Certification – Required
ASCP-MLS – Preferred
Minimum 1 year of MLS experience
Hospital clinical laboratory experience required
Siemens Atellica chemistry analyzer experience required
Eflexis blood bank analyzer experience required
Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends
Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission
