Job Overview
A critical access hospital in Pecos, Texas is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for an L&D RN who is comfortable working night shifts, practicing with a high level of autonomy, and providing comprehensive maternal and newborn care in a smaller hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients
Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries as needed
Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary care teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Educate patients and families throughout the labor, delivery, and recovery process

Requirements

Active Texas RN license or compact license
Recent Labor & Delivery experience required
BLS certification required
Additional certifications such as ACLS and NRP may be required
Ability to work independently in a critical access Labor & Delivery environment

Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
Rotation: 36/48-hour schedule
