Position Summary

Performs computed tomography (CT) procedures and related imaging techniques. Administers ionizing radiation to produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation. This role may require rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, on-call coverage, flexible scheduling, and overtime to ensure optimal patient care across assigned sites.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• When assigned radiographer duties, perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable imaging examinations.
• Verify and correlate patient clinical history with requested procedures; ensure accurate documentation for radiologist review.
• Prepare patients for examinations by providing clear instructions, promoting cooperation, and minimizing anxiety.
• Select, operate, and troubleshoot imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories.
• Position patients to best demonstrate anatomical areas of interest while ensuring comfort and safety; immobilize patients as needed.
• Maintain and practice aseptic technique when required.
• Prepare and administer contrast media appropriate to the procedure; initiate and maintain intravenous access.
• Initiate basic life support (BLS) actions when necessary.
• Provide patient education related to procedures and post-exam care.
• Assist with inventory control, supply management, and equipment needs for assigned areas.
• Provide practical instruction and mentorship to students and clinical partners.
• Adhere to universal protocol, standard precautions, and proper patient identification practices.
• Apply patient safety principles during all aspects of care, including patient transport and assistance.

Education & Experience

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required

Certification & Licensure Requirements

• ARRT Radiography registration (required)
• ARRT Computed Tomography registration (required)
• IEMA-DNS Radiography Accreditation (required)
• Current CPR or BLS certification (required)
