Travel Registered Nurse – Surgical Oncology

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Overview

A Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse is needed for a high-acuity inpatient unit caring for oncology patients with complex medical and post-surgical needs. This role requires experience in both stepdown and medical-surgical care, with a strong focus on oncology and chemotherapy patients.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to surgical oncology patients
Manage stepdown and med-surg level patients within scope
Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products
Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and interventions
Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and discharge
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff
Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

Active RN license (Oklahoma or Compact eNLC)
Minimum 1 year of RN experience
Experience in Surgical Oncology and chemotherapy patient care required
Stepdown and Med-Surg experience required
BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
ONS/ONCC certification required (fundamentals may be considered)
Strong communication and organizational skills
