Auto Offer

  • Auto Offer off Prescreen

Dysrhythmia Exam (REQUIRED)

  • Must be completed within 48 hours of offer
  • Maximum 2 attempts
  • Required PRIOR to contract signing
  • Failure outcome:
    • Traveler will be sent home
    • DNU for 6 months for CommonSpirit Health AZ & Sacramento regions

Simulation Lab (Day 1 of Orientation)

  • Pass/Fail Sim Lab required
  • Failure outcome:
    • Traveler will be sent home
    • DNU for 6 months

🚨 CLINICAL REQUIREMENT 🚨

  • MUST be able to TITRATE CARDIAC DRIPS

Floating Expectations (MANDATORY)

  • Floating is required
  • Travelers will float between all Telemetry and Med/Surg units
  • Depending on skillset, floating may include:
    • ICU (within scope/competency)
    • Cardiac Tele
    • All Tele units
    • Med/Surg units
    • Holding areas (Cath Lab, ER, Observation, hallway holds)

Campus Floating

  • Floating occurs between:
    • Chandler Campus
    • Mercy Gilbert Campus
  • Distance: 9 miles (β‰ˆ15 minutes, all interstate)
  • Notification of campus/unit provided 1.5 hours prior to shift start
  • Mid-shift unit floating can occur
  • Rare, but possible to float campuses mid-shift
    • Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other

CV Telemetry – B3A

  • Beds: 32
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS
  • Ratios: 1:3–4
  • Charge Nurse: Yes (no patient assignment)
  • Clinical Supervisor: Yes
  • PCTs: 1 per 16 patients
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Scrubs: Navy
  • Telemetry: Centralized; RNs must interpret EKGs
  • Vents: No
  • Providers: Hospitalist days / on-call nights
  • IV Team: No
  • RT / Pharmacy: 24/7
  • Shifts: 12 hrs (7–7)
  • Orientation: 2 days on unit
  • Floating: Similar or lower acuity
  • Common Patients:
    • Post-Cath Lab
    • Post-vascular procedures
    • Day-2 CABG
    • General Tele
  • Drips (Titration Required):

  • Age Range: 15 years and older (no pediatrics)

Neuro Telemetry – A3 Neuro

  • Beds: 28
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Ratios: 1:3–4
  • Charge Nurse: Yes (no patient assignment)
  • Clinical Supervisor: Yes
  • PCTs: 1 per 16 patients
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Scrubs: Navy
  • Telemetry: Centralized; RNs must interpret EKGs
  • Vents: No
  • Providers: Hospitalist days / on-call nights
  • IV Team: No
  • RT / Pharmacy: 24/7
  • Shifts: 12 hrs (7–7)
  • Orientation: 2 days on unit
  • Common Patients:
    • Neuro post-surgical
    • Post-craniotomy
    • Spine surgeries
    • CVA patients post-TPA

  • Ratios: 1:4 (days & nights)
  • Charge Nurse: Yes (no patient assignment)
  • Unit Supervisor: Yes
  • PCTs:
    • Days: PCTs
    • Nights: 1 PCT or Task RN
  • Weekend Requirement:
    • 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
    • Days: Sat/Sun
    • Nights: Fri/Sat
  • Holiday Requirement: 1 major & 1 minor holiday
