Travel RN Opportunity - Med Surg Specialty

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
• Shift: Nights (19:00 - 07:30)
• Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 (flexible, must be indicated on submission)
• Weekend Hours: As required, typically every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Number of Openings: 4
• Float Requirements: As needed to similar or lower acuity units

Licensure & Certifications

• Required Licensure: Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri
• Required Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only)
• Preferred Certifications: ACLS (American Heart Association only)

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in Med Surg, inpatient setting
• Preferred Experience: 1 year Neuro experience preferred
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Unit & Patient Care Information

• Utilizes nursing process for patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinates patient care with ancillary departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
• Works within Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility standards.
• Patient ratios vary; unit uses EPIC EMR system.
• Physical demands include standing/walking most of the shift, bending, stooping, lifting/turning patients with assistance, and exposure to blood/body fluids.

Additional Requirements & Notes

• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1; no declinations accepted.
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; traveler must be available for the entire orientation week.
• Dress code: Black scrubs only; no other attire permitted.
• Flexible scheduling options available; must be specified on submission.
• Holiday time off requests limited to one per assignment.
