Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location: Lubbock, TX 79410
Duration: 13-week contract with possibility of extension
Schedule: Night Shift 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
 

What You'll Do:

• Provide care for Telemetry patients with ratios of 1:4-5
• Manage patient diagnoses including CHF, NSTEMI, COPD, Sepsis, and Post-Cardiac Cath
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias (on-unit and remote monitoring)
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips; manage Heparin protocols
• Perform phlebotomy and start/maintain peripheral IVs
• Manage Central Lines and PICC lines
• Document patient care in Epic EHR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory, PT, and Rapid Response
• Float to sister facilities or other units as needed

Requirements:

• Active TX State or Compact RN License (Must be in hand at submission)
• 1+ year of Telemetry or Acute Care experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply!
• Epic Charting experience is REQUIRED
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Certifications required
• Must wear Solid Navy Blue scrubs

Preferred:

• Level II Trauma Center experience
• Experience with Tracheostomy care and Chest Tubes
• Proficiency with accessing ports and wound care
